The FUTURE CLASSICS fashion label was established in 2000 by designer Julie Wilkins. The label was awarded four consecutive seasons of New Generation sponsorship by the British Fashion Council to show at London Fashion Week, and went on to achieve international acclaim for its cleverly constructed and playfully conceptual collections. The label set out to explore the dialogue between the traditional and the modern, the avant-garde and the conservative. A major part of the FUTURE CLASSICS ethos was the studied deconstruction of conventional garment forms, introducing adaptability and multiple idiosyncratic possibilities of wear. The label produced collections until 2014.
Julie’s new label DRESS creates limited edition, trans-seasonal capsule collections. Made to sustainable manifesto, the garments are designed to embody each capsule theme and tell its story in their structures.
